Joseph Edward Gallo Recreation and Wellness Center

The Joseph Edward Gallo Recreation and Wellness Center is located at the corner of Scholars Lane and Muir Pass. The Gallo Recreation and Wellness Center serves as the campus recreation center and home of the Campus Recreation program.

The H. Rajender Reddy Student Health Center occupies the second floor and you can find out more about the services offered in the Student Health Center on their web site.

The recreation component of the center contains state of the art cardio and fitness equipment, group exercise equipment and a multi-purpose gym. Students can watch their favorite television program on the three, cardio theatre television systems in the main cardio area, while others will take in the views out the window as they workout in the distributed cardio areas. 

The two court gym features a full size NCAA basketball court, two cross courts for basketball and volleyball in addtion to a competition volleyball court.  There are also two regulation badminton courts available in the gym as well.  Students can check out equipment to use during their visit to the Gallo Recreation Center.  Visit our Equipment Check out page for more information on what equipment is available.

The Joseph Edward Gallo Recreation Center is also the home to all of the Campus Recreation programs such as Intramural Sports, Outdoor Adventures and Sport Clubs.  You can also visit the Wilderness Center located in the Campus Recreation Office suite for information about the outdoors, national parks and outdoor equipment rentals. 

The universal restroom in the Gallo Recreation Center is now locked.  If you wish to use this restroom, please see the Gallo Front Desk staff to checkout a key.
