Joseph Edward Gallo Recreation Center Facility Reservations

The Gallo Recreation Center is primarily used for open recreation and structured recreational activities for UC Merced students, faculty and staff members.  There are two spaces that may be reserved on a limited basis by UC Merced registered student organizations and campus departments which include the Exercise Room and Gymnasium. 

Gym

The Gym can accommodate basketball, volleyball and badminton in addition to non-athletic events such as dances, concerts and lectures.

Reservation Process

Student Organizations and Campus Departments

Those interested in reserving space in the Gallo Recreation Center must complete the Facility Request Form.  This form must be submitted to the Recreation & Athletics office at least two weeks prior to the event.  Requests are approved on a first-come-first-serve basis.  Due to the high volume of requests and limited space within the Recreation Center the nature of an event will be a factor in the approval process. 

Outside Organizations

Unaffiliated parties interested in reserving space in the Gallo Recreation Center must contact the Recreation & Athletics Office by email at recreation@ucmerced.edu.
