Sat. February 4th: Snowshoe Yosemite

Join the OEP as we travel to spend the day snowshoeing in the Yosemite back country. Enjoy a fun filled day exploring the alpine snow. The trip fee includes transportation, park fees and gear

Sat. February 11th: Shuttle to Badger Pass Ski Resort

 Join OEP staff for this shuttle trip to Yosemite Ski and Snowboard Area and leave the driving to us. Trip fee includes shuttle only.

Sun. February 12th: Valentines Day San Francisco Shuttle

Need an idea about how to celebrate Valentine's Day? Enjoy a day in San Francisco and leave the driving to us. Shop, visit the sights or enjoy the great cuisine of the City! You'll definitely leave your heart in San Francisco. Return will be around midnight. Cost includes transportation only.

Sat. February 18th: Ice Skating in Yosemite

Head up to the Half Dome Village Ice Skating Rink and glide the afternoon away in one of the most picturesque skating rinks in the country. This is an open air rink right in the heart of Yosemite Valley. Trip fee includes transportation, entrance fee and skate rentals.

Sat.-Sun. February 25th-26th: Explore Yosemite in Winter

Join us on a trip to winter wonderland, exploring Yosemite Valley and snowshoeing in Yosemite Ski and Snowboard Area. Participants will have the opportunity to spend an evening in the serenity of the starlight in Yosemite Valley. You will learn some winter camping skills such as well as using snowshoes. Cost includes transportation, guides, snowshoes, tents, some meals will be included.

Sat. March 4: Walk the Golden Gate Bridge and Explore San Francisco

Join the OEP staff for a fun day in San Francisco! Experience the incredible views from the Golden Gate Bridge as we park and walk the span of this world icon. Enjoy views of Angel Island, Alcatraz, the East Bay, and of course, the City by the Bay. We will also view iconic parts of the city such as the Marin Headlands, Golden Gate Park, Fisherman's Warf and possibly Lombard Street. Trip fee includes transportation, parking, and bridge tolls and guided tour

Sat. March 11:  Monterey Shuttle

Join the OEP staff as we visit the scenic coastal community of Monterey. Spend your day strolling along the beach, visiting the shops and restaurants of world famous Cannery Row, or spend your time mesmerized by the numerous species of fish in the renowned Monterey Bay Aquarium. The trip fee includes transportation and parking. Participants must bring additional money for aquarium

Sat. March 18: Kayak Elkhorn Slough

Breathtaking views as you kayak one of the last natural wetlands in California! Join the UC Merced OEP staff and Kayak Connection for a thrilling paddle in Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary. We will be passing by otters, sea lions, and an infinite amount of birds. Don't miss out on this popular trip. A great chance to see wildlife as you have never seen it before! Trip fee includes transportation, performance gear, kayak rental, instructions, and guide service.

Sat.-Sun. March 25 - April 1: Spring Break Road Trip

Join the OEP as we take a road trip to a few of the most iconic places in the western United States. This 7 day trip will take you through California deserts, Nevada valleys and Utah canyons, visiting parks along the way like Joshua Tree, Zion, Bryce Canyon and Valley of Fire. Come on an adventure and leave all the driving to us. Trip fee includes transportation, meals, park fees, and camping equipment. Cat dollars accepted!

Sat. April 8th: Surf Santa Cruz

Experience what Santa Cruz has to offer! Spend the morning surfing and enjoying your time on the spectacular beaches of Santa Cruz. Then take a chance to relax and cruise through the Santa Cruz Boardwalk while enjoying the spectacular views of the ocean and redwoods.

Sat. April 15th: Wildflowers of the Sierra

Join the OEP staff and a Wilderness Center Ranger for a spectacular day hike into the Hite's Cove Gold Mine, just outside of Yosemite. Witness one of nature's most amazing wildflower displays in the entire western US. On our 10-mile round trip trek, you will encounter many plants and animals along the river trail and share Native American tales as well as the story of John Hite, the richest gold miner of the Central Sierra.

Sat. April 29th: Whitewater Rafting

Experienced whitewater rafting enthusiasts consider the American River one of the most beautiful and challenging runs for whitewater rafting in California. Your heart will race as you make your way through the whitewater rafting maze of cabin-sized boulders and drop over the waterfalls. After a full day of rafting, we will recharge and relax along the banks of the American River Saturday night to start again the next day! From Chili Bar Reservoir to Folsom Lake, the South Fork American River flows 21 beautifully unbridled miles of exciting American River rafting. Over 25 major California river rafting rapids cut through some of the most varied geology in the Sierra. Along with the natural and human history, you'll thrill to the challenge of such ominous sounding California river rafting rapids as "Meatgrinder", "Troublemaker", "Satan's Cesspool" and "Hospital Bar"! Trip fees include transportation, rafting equipment, guides, permits, group camping gear and two meals.
