Join us on a OEP Spring Break tradition as we once again pack up the suburbans and hit the open road for eight days of fun and exploration. We’ve seen Joshua Tree National Monument, Zion National Park (Utah), Big Sur country, the Grand Canyon (Arizona) and the Mojave Desert. This year we head north to explore Oregon and southern Washington with plans to visit Mount Shasta, Crater Lake, Bend, Portland, Vancouver (Washington), Silver Falls, the Oregon Coast, Eugene and Ashland. We’ll see various land features such as Castle Crags and Mt. Hood, as we make our way along each side of the Cascade Range. We’ll spend a few days enjoying some of the unique geography and communities that make up the Northern tip of California, the middle of Oregon, and the southern part of Washington. All great areas for the outdoor enthusiast, and multi-state travelers (a.k.a State Baggers)!
The trip cost is only $350 for currently enrolled UCM students and Rec Members ($500 for all others). Price includes transportation, camping gear, fees, and all group meals. At this cost, this trip will fill up fast! So don’t hesitate, sign up today at the Gallo Rec Center. All registered participants must attend the pre-rip meetings scheduled for March 11 and 18th, 7pm, in the Outdoor Center.
Enjoy some scenic pictures of a few of the breathtaking destinations we will visit!
