Policies and Procedures
Rates
- Students and members of the Recreation & Athletics Program receive reduced rental rates.
- Member rates apply for currently enrolled UC Merced undergraduate and graduate students, faculty and staff members who have current memberships to the Joseph Edward Gallo Recreation Center.
- Valid identifications required for all rentals.
- Nonstudents must be 18 or older to rent equipment.
Cleaning, Damage and Replacement Policy
- Cleaning: $10 per item
- Damage: repair fees at market rates
- Lost or unrentable items: full retail value
Pick-Up/Return Policy
- Rentals can be picked up or returned anytime during regular hours of the Outdoor Center.
- Late rentals will be charged at the additional day rate.
- A cleaning fee is charged for all items returned wet and/or dirty.
- To dry tents: Hang or set up in a well-ventilated area.
- To clean tents: Use a damp sponge and cloth.
